In a project titled "If Nothing Happened," Istanbul based artist Alper Yesiltas used artificial intelligence to help him imagine what some celebrities might look like today, if nothing had happened to them. This tear jerker of a project beautifully breathes life back into our most beloved artists and public figures who tragically lost their lives too soon, by not only giving us a projection of their features, but a glimpse of their essence recaptured.
Yesiltas has featured the project on his Instagram page, as well as an article on boredpanda. With how provocative these images have proven to be, people are unsurprisingly asking for more, and naming their favorite lost idols to be re-imagined. Yesiltas does call this group his "first collection," so hopefully we will be seeing more soon.
