Apple finally announced its long-anticipated AR headset, the 'Vision Pro,' which will go on sale early next year with a $3,499 price tag. The internet was a quick dunk on the world's largest tech company and a product many people think is "just a fad," with memes and some tech commentary.

It's hard to say what the future holds and I'm no Nostradamus, but I wouldn't throw in all my chips betting on VR, at least not VR without some form of augmented reality function. While the 'metaverse' and the hype behind VR/AR technology has died off since the middle of the pandemic, there is a future in augmented reality; think Pokemon GO or the Driving Crooner.
