Tony Blevins was the Vice President of Procurement at Apple until a video of him and his wife went viral. He was approached by TikTok creator Daniel Mac, who frequently asks people in nice cars what they do for a living, and this video was no different. However, the remarks that came from Blevins were seen as vulgar and offensive to viewers and the multi-trillion-dollar company.
Blevins said in the clip, "I have rich cars, play golf and fondle big-breasted women, but I take weekends and major holidays off", as he stepped out of his Mercedes-Benz SLP McLaren, worth $500,000 dollars, on his way to a California car show.
An internal investigation was opened at Apple quickly after the video went viral with over one million views. Blevins was immediately pulled from his position as the leader of hundreds of employees at the company.
It was confirmed by Apple on Thursday that Blevins will no longer be in authority at the company after 22 years of employment.
Blevins apologized for his crass statement saying, "I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended by my mistaken attempt at humor."
While some took his side, others agreed with Apple's decision that he could have kept it more professional as a representative of the tech conglomerate.
I'm on the verge of calling out some big time hypocrisy on this fabricated outage. We're at the point where society picks and chooses who gets to be rewarded for being "vulgar" and who gets to be persecuted. #TonyBlevins@Applehttps://t.co/SS1aVe7cUR

My favorite thing about Tony Blevins leaving Apple over this is that so many other millionaires have been approached by this creator and came out of it looking great. All he had to say was "I work in tech" and he'd still be a senior exec at Apple. https://t.co/Bk2uKhj37B

The fat cat CEO seemed to have been trying to embody Arthur Bach from the 1981 movie "Arthur" by quoting the line: "I race cars, play tennis and fondle women, but I have weekends off and I am my own boss." However, he quickly learned that life is in fact not a movie and that there are actual consequences for your actions.
Blevins' estimated net worth on Glassdoor as a VP for the biggest tech company in the world is around $600,000 annually. So don't worry about his dismissal, he'll be fine.
