A 2-hour drive is all that separates the city of brotherly love and the big apple. It's safe to say Philadelphia and New York are the exact opposite of the twin cities. When it comes to sports especially, the hatred is very real. Mets/Phillies, Rangers/Flyers, Eagles/Giants. A rivalry would be an understatement.
It's easy to see why the internet was beyond confused when the Empire State Building of all places, turned their famous lights to Eagles' Green on Sunday. Yes, the Eagles who just last week ended the New York Giants' season. Those same Eagles who just advanced to the Super Bowl.

In case you still don't understand how disrespectful this was, that's Giants' running back, Matt Breida voicing his frustration. From players to fans, true New Yorkers to transplants. Everyone was upset. It was an idiotic tweet for clout and nothing more. Thanks Empire State Building, you did it. You got me mad at a building.
Good night.
