On Wednesday, Air Force Veteran David Grusch gave alien truthers the W they’d long been craving, testifying that the United States military was in possession of both alien aircraft and the bodies of four dead aliens during a House hearing on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP).
“I was informed, in the course of my official duties, of a multi-decade UAP crash retrieval and reverse-engineering program, to which I was denied access,” he explained of the government’s alleged alien cover-up.

But long before Grusch took the stand, redditor u/AdSweaty5570 apparently decided his scheduled testimony was enough to prepare for a forthcoming alien invasion, claiming they had resigned from their job in anticipation of humans living alongside ETs.
“I figure the quality of life is gonna skyrocket and I won't have to work this dead end job. Once we integrate with the Galactic Federation I probably won't even have to work anymore,” they wrote in a post entitled “quitting my job today since disclosure is tomorrow” on r/alien.
Unfortunately, u/AdSweaty5570’s boss was less understanding, unconvinced that an impending alien invasion would result in the end of the labor market as we know it.
“Just got off the phone with my manager. He said ‘You're an idiot’ but he hasn't been doing his research lately,” they continued. “Counting down the hours!!”
Despite garnering a few supportive replies — “Your manager is clearly NHI [Non-Human Intelligence] and clearly able to demonstrate advanced psychic abilities,” wrote u/Few-Worldliness2131 — even the most pro-UFO Redditors were skeptical about u/AdSweaty5570’s decision.
“You should probably also sell all of your belongings too because I doubt there will be room for all of it on the mothership,” joked u/il_chef77.
“You have inspired me. I am going to kick my boss in the nuts and bang his wife,” added u/Oceanic-Flight-815.
Meanwhile, fellow truther u/Objective_Celery_509 took a different approach, admonishing u/AdSweaty5570 for forgetting one critical element of the alien invasion.
“You're an idiot. I quit 5 years from now because I know once time space distortion is readily available, I get all that time back,” they wrote.
For u/AdSweaty557’s sake, we can only hope our impending alien overlords don’t assign him — or any of us — to work in an ET gulag for all of eternity.
